Derek Waltchack is co-founder of Shannon Waltchack, LLC.

Before founding Shannon Waltchack, LLC, Mr. Waltchack was a partner at Coldwell Banker Commercial Eyster Properties and specialized in representing national and local retailers with site selection and evaluation throughout the state.  Some of his clients included: Arby's, Benningan's, Express Oil Change, Regal Cinemas, Big 10 Tires, and Walgreen's. In the past 6 years, Mr. Waltchack has developed over $28 million in real estate projects including shopping centers, restaurant build to suits, and lake front subdivisions.

In 1998, Mr. Waltchack was recognized as one of the "top three producers" among all commercial agents in the City, achieving a level of $20 million in transactions.  He was the youngest ever to have received this award.  In 2001, Mr. Waltchack was honored as the #1 Commercial Sales Associate in closed gross commissions in the state of Alabama for Coldwell Banker Commercial Eyster Properties.  Mr. Waltchack is a Life Member of the Birmingham Association of Realtors' Commercial Million Dollar Sales Club.

Mr. Waltchack and his wife, Rushton, and their children attend Covenant Presbyterian Church where he serves as Deacon.
