gerald merrifield, Facilities manager

Gerald has been a member of the Shannon Waltchack team since 2011. 

Gerald has worked continuously in Facility Management since 2006. Prior to working at Shannon Waltchack, he worked throughout Central Alabama at CBRE. In his day to day responsibilities were included such routine maintenance activites as: cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, trouble-shooting, and reporting problems on mechanical equipment and building structures.  

He has extensive experience as a welder in the construction industry, including fabricating and erecting structural and ornamental metals, erecting buildings, bridges, metal storage tanks and completing other miscellaneous construction projects.  In addition, he has experience in repairing, renovating and maintaining older building structures such as manufacturing plants, concrete plants and bridges.  He has oversight experience in raising gangs, misc. gangs, directing numbers of workers, completing accurate takeoffs, calculating accurate estimates and budgets, while overseeing purchasing, operating, scheduling, monitoring and inspection of a project's total work from start to finish.

In his spare time, Gerald is a hunter and a fisherman.  He coaches youth sports in his community and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife Nicole, his daughter Kalei, and son Chad.
