With 30 years of experience in Southeast real estate, George Elliott joined Shannon Waltchack in 2013 to specialize in tenant/buyer representation, site selection, land sales, investment properties, and development.

Prior to working with Shannon Waltchack, George had responsibility for retail, land, and office site acquisition in a sixteen-state footprint for a large regional client. Early in his career, he worked with national real estate firms gaining experience in property management, tenant representation, sales, and leasing, as well as retail and industrial development and redevelopment.

As an active member in the Birmingham Commercial Realtors Council (BCRC), George earned the status of Life Member of the Commercial Club of Excellence in 2016.

George is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America serving as the Scoutmaster of Troop 53 for over 20 years and with the Greater Alabama Council as vice president of properties of the Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham. He and his wife, Shirley, have three adult children and attend Cathedral Church of the Advent.

George recently served on the Board of Trustees at The University of the South, Sewanee.
