Jordan Barrow owns a family franchise of Mooyah Burgers, Fries and Shakes with his brother Josh and father Denny. The Barrows opened their second Birmingham location at 2112 7th Avenue South, in May- a prime spot in a growing restaurant row in the UAB area, leased by Len Shannon, III CCIM and Ali Wilburn. Jordan enjoys serving fresh ingredients and a fully customizable menu. We recently had Jordan and his team cater an event for a Shannon Waltchack broker open house, and we were deeply impressed with their service and especially the delicious burgers! Read more about the Barrow’s commitment to great food and great service:

SW: Years in Business:
JB: This is our second year in the restaurant industry.

SW: In a sentence or two, tell the readers a little bit about your business:
JB: Mooyah is a better burger restaurant with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and a strong commitment to customer service.

SW: What makes your business unique?
JB: At Mooyah there are over a million ways to build your burger.  We offer healthy options including Turkey Burgers, Veggie Burgers, Salads, and Lettuce Wraps.  We bake our bread in house and serve hand-cut fries daily.

SW: What is the funniest or wildest thing that has ever happened on your property?
JB: Someone accidentally ran their motorcycle through the front door last Sunday morning.

SW: Where would you like to see your business in three years?
JB: Our goal is expand the Mooyah brand throughout the Birmingham metro area.

SW: What do you enjoy most about your business?
JB: Everyday is different.  The business is always changing with new ideas or improvements to our current processes. It’s interesting to see Mooyah evolve and expand.

SW: Any interesting company traditions or facts
JB: We are a family business. We currently have two Mooyah locations — Downtown and the Colonnade. My brother and I currently run both stores. It’s our goal to make this a long-standing brand that we can pass down to the next generation.

SW: What makes Shannon Waltchack stand out from other Commercial Real Estate firms?
JB: Shannon Waltchack has gone over and beyond to help us in the process of acquiring a rental space for our store.  They have provided the tools and knowledge to help us get our store open in a timely manner and continue to keep open communication to improve our location. They have supported our store when hosting events and we are tremendously grateful for the relationship.
